The fact that my country is known as the “Emerald isle” makes me so proud of our green fields, local farms that produce fruit and vegetables, and natural rivers and lakes. I would promote the local people of Ireland to tour around our own country more rather than wasting so much air fuels as they probably haven’t seen even half of what our own country has to offer.

Many congratulations to Kayleigh awarded Top 16 place in Miss Earth. Kayleigh is the first UK delegate to ever reach a top placing.

Past Northern Ireland history -
Aine Gormley our 2007 Northern Ireland winner who has a degree in environmental science, went on to compete against contestants from around the World. Aine had to give a presentation to the Vietnamese National Youth Federation and the Miss Earth chairman on what she had done for the protection of the environment and who possessed excellent world knowledge and had contributed considerably to environmental conservation in her home town.

After much consideration, Miss Earth South Africa 2007 was named the winner of “Beauties for a Cause,” a prestigious title along side the four main prizes: Miss Earth, Miss Water, Miss Fire and Miss Air.
